Hello and welcome!
My name is Svetlana Morbini. I'm an artist and surface pattern designer based in London. After graduating in Fashion Design, where I discovered my passion for illustration and textiles, I've worked on diverse projects, from designing surface patterns for brands to creating my own fabric collections. Through my work, I wish to highlight the beauty of Botanics within urban spaces. I love how patterns printed on everyday objects can add colours to our lives.

When I'm not designing surface patterns, I love painting impressionistic flowers in my signature three-dimensional style.
Inspiration
Finding inspiration in my surroundings and personal experiences is essential in my creations.
Living in such beautiful countries as Brazil, the UK and Russia, nature and wildlife became highly important in my work. Botanical gardens, parks, and flower shops are the places I return to again and again for inspiration and visual references. I love taking photos and sketching on location to capture the essence of the objects and places.
Besides flowers, I'm captivated by local architecture and its interaction with nature. So I can often be seen discovering the city and taking part in the Urban Sketching Group's encounters.
